Preserving your Wedding Bouquet – The Process
I specialize in both Shadow boxes (3D) and pressed designs.
The Process:
1. Contact me through my initial contact form
2. Decide whether you would like to have a shadow box, or pressed frame. You can change your mind anytime up until I receive your bouquet so no need to feel committed to your choice at this time. You might want to read my page describing my Frames here..
3. Fill out the booking form, and send in your deposit. Receive 5% discount from your final invoice if you book more than 3 months ahead of your wedding date.
4. Check the FAQ for suggestions on the best flowers to preserve. When talking with your florist, let them know that you are planning to preserve your bouquet. They may contact me if they have any questions.
5. Try and decide on your frame before your wedding date, so that we can order it ahead of time. It is ok, however, to wait until after your wedding to do this. It might just take a little longer to get your finished design. I require a second deposit ($100) when we are ready to order your frame.
6. Plan how you are going to get your bouquet to me. If you are local to Lethbridge, then you can arrange for someone to deliver it to me the next day or I can come and pick it up. If your wedding is further out, it is ok to deliver it two or possibly 3 days later when you return home. And if you are not local to Lethbridge and would like to mail your bouquet to me, be sure to get a box ahead of time that would be appropriate for mailing. Ask me for directions on how to pack your bouquet for shipping.
7. On your wedding day, keep your bouquet in water as long as possible. Have someone else look after your bouquet once your arrive at your reception so that you can just have fun and not worry about keeping track of it.
8. Deliver, arrange for pickup or ship your bouquet the next day if possible. I would need to know for sure by this time whether you want a shadow box, pressed design, or possibly both (if you include extra flowers).
9. If you have already ordered your frame, then just watch for updates on your design. I will email or text you when I am ready to start designing, and will show you a mock up before enclosing it in a frame. You can offer suggestions or changes at this time.
10. Your final invoice will be due at this time, before you pick or I ship your frame.
11. Hang your frame and enjoy it for years to come!
